All that glitters is not Gold
english proverbs with definition, lessons from proverbs
We all have a tendency to be fascinated by glittering things. Most of us are often tempted by things that appear quite bright. For most of us the glittering things are branded clothes, rich people, celebrities & Social media fame. These things are Glittering but are not gold for us. Why...? because branded clothes does not make you a good human being, rich and celebrities are not as good as we think, Social Media is not a real world. it's full of lies and hateful speeches.
In other words the worth of a thing or a person lies in its quality. Quality is an inner thing and does not appear on the surface. When peoeple go for quality then they will understand the real worth of Gold. Dew drop Shine for some time but it cannot face the scorching rays of the Sun.
Things that glitter are fake, often short-lived and fade once, it faces the reality but the real quantity, like gold, continues to glitter all through. Gold shines because of its truth and hence it is beautiful. Truth does not require any outward manifestation. No matter what truth remains the truth. A high structure devoid of human reach, a beautiful building without any occupant, a beautiful flower without any fragrance may glitter yet cannot be considered worthy, since they do not benefit people when in need. Hence it is apt to say- all the glitters is not gold.
