Sur Kokila Lata Mangeshkar is a well-known singer in India. Who has sung more than 30000 songs in about 20 languages. She honored the world with his melodious voice for over six decades. She devoted her entire life to music. She has always been identified as a playback singer in the film world. Many consider her voice to be the gift of Mother Saraswati.

Lata Mangeshkar's life introduction:-
Lata Mangeshkar was born on 28 September 1929 in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. Her real name was Hema Haridkar. Her father Dinanath Mangeshkar was a skilled theater singer. Hema's father named his children's surname Mangeshkar after his village Mangeshi. But as Hema entered the world of music, she changed her name to Lata Mangeshkar and thus she created a buzz in the film world with her sweet and melodious voice.
Lata started learning music from the age of 5 and her younger sister Asha Bhosle also learned music. Her father died a few years later and during this time Lata was just 13 years old. After the father's death, all the responsibility of the house fell on Lata. Seeing the financial condition of the family, Lata stopped her studies for the study of her sisters.
Master Vinayak, owner of Navayuga Chitrapat Film Company and friend of Lata's father, took over his family and helped Lata Mangeshkar to become a singer. In the year 1949, when Asha Bhosle got married without the wishes of the housemates, the responsibility of family again came to Lata. Seeing the responsibility of the house, she again made a sacrifice and this time she decided that she would not marry.

The road to success is not easy for anyone. Today all the famous people have struggled a lot to reach this point in their lives. And in the same way Lata ji faced a lot of difficulties in making her place in the Music Industry. Many music composers refused to give her work due to her low voice But with her talent, Lata bowed down to everyone.
Lata Mangeshkar Career:
Lata ji was recognized for her talent in the year 1947. When she got a chance to sing a song in the film 'Aapki Seva'. After this song, Lata got an identity in the film world and got many opportunities to sing many songs one after one. After that, the journey of her music never stopped and she kept on moving forward and Never looked back again. Lata ji also has the distinction of recording the most songs. Lata Mangeshkar also holds the record for becoming the first female singer to sing in 36 languages.
Honor:
Lata may not have been able to go to school due to financial constraints in childhood, but on the strength of her talent, Lata has obtained standard degrees from 6 universities including New York University. Lata Mangeshkar has been awarded the highest civilian award including 'Bharat Ratna', 'Padma Bhushan', 'Padmavibhushan', 'Dada Saheb Phalke' Award and dozens of awards.
