Neha has 2 siblings. Her sister's name is Sonu Kakkar who made her Bollywood debut by singing songs like 'Babu Ji Jara Dheere Chalo' and her brother Tony Kakkar is a music composer and singer. Who made everyone sound crazy with the song 'Dheeme-Dheeme'. Neha's family had to shift to Delhi at a very young age. Her early education began at New Holi Public School in Delhi.

Seeing his elder sister Sonu Kakkar singing in Jagran from childhood, her mind also got attracted towards singing and at a young age he started singing with his elder sister. His career started with a reality show in Delhi. When she was in class 11th, the reality show Indian Idol was held in her city. At that time Neha had a tough situation as she had to choose her 11th final exam and one of her dreams. Out of this difficult decision, She chose her dream and said goodbye to studies. Perhaps the decision was right for her life, which made her a great singer.

She entered the singing world in 2006 at her audition for Delhi's Indian Idol. With her singing talent, she managed to make it to the top-5 but failed to win the final. Neha then realized her talent and made her debut with the composer album 'Neha- The Rockstar' with the Meet Brothers. After that She did not look back. And then, after making the entry in Bollywood, She rocked with her voice. One of his songs 'Mile Ho Tum Humko' and Shahrukh Anthem made her a YouTube star overnight. Cocktail movie song 'Second Hand Jawani' further strengthened her place in Bollywood. Along with Bollywood, Neha has also sung many Punjabi songs. Neha Kakkar has judged many reality shows.
